Troy Ave charged with attempt murder on T.I concert

Troy Ave has been formally charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a
weapon over his involvement in a shooting outside a T.I. concert last Wednesday.
The Brooklyn rapper, born Roland Collins, was shot in the leg during a gunfight which killed his bodyguard, Banga, and injured two more.

Appearing in court on Monday in a wheelchair, Collins was charged with attempted murder on the strength of a security camera video that showed a man the police identified as him firing a weapon, reports the New York Times.

An eight-second clip of the video released last Thursday shows Collins bursting through the door of a V.I.P. room onto a balcony before firing a shot. The police said a fistfight had broken out in one of the V.I.P. rooms a few minutes earlier. A video from inside the room posted by TMZ shows a group of men trying to break up a fight followed by three shots.
It is alleged that Collins went on the rampage because of a feud with Maino, who was opening the show. Maino’s girlfriend, model Maggie Carrie Heckstall, was one of the other two injured in the shooting. HipHopDX reports that Heckstall now plans to sue those involved in the shooting, and has also named the New York Police Department in her filing, saying she is being “treated more like a criminal than an innocent victim”
